I spent August 2023 at the International Sculpture and Ceramics Symposium in Bolesławiec, Poland, where with 9 other colleagues from Poland, Georgia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic we worked at 3 local ceramic factories. Bolesławiec is traditionally specialized in the production of stoneware pottery, and there used to be many enterprises here, of which there are now 3 major factories left. I was fortunate to work at the "CERAMIKA ARTYSTYCZNA - SPÓŁDZIELNIA RĘKODZIEŁA ARTYSTYCZNEGO" with a long history and a great working team. Working at the company, I remembered with nostalgia my student internships, especially my internship at the porcelain factory in Dobrush, where all materials could be used in unlimited quantities. Porcelain slip that pours from the tap - isn't that a dream?)  And of course I was very inspired by the mountains of raw ceramic materials on the territory of the factory, and especially by the dried up and cracked puddles of white clay.
